The Spotlight - Aviation Technology
May 21, 2007
Welcome to “The Spotlight.”
When looking toward the future, we’re often told that “the sky’s the limit.” Well, in one Central Campus program that philosophy couldn’t be truer.
A facility located at the Des Moines International airport is the home of the Central Campus Aviation Technology Program, a truly unique learning experience for Des Moines students.
There, they learn what it takes to maintain and operate aircraft. Through real, hands on experience, these students are becoming the aircraft mechanics, pilots and aviation technicians of tomorrow.
Many of the students leave the program with FAA certifications that can lead to great jobs in the aviation industry. Still others decide to join the military after their great experiences with the 132nd Fighter Wing. But whatever flight path they take in life, the students of the Aviation Technology Program will be prepared for any turbulence they might encounter along the way. If you would like more information about the Central Campus Aviation Technology program, call 285-6949 or visit the Central Campus website for more details.
